A morning on the Noosa River, painting en plein air — soaking up the atmosphere, breathing in the stillness of the water, and capturing the light and mood of this beautiful Queensland waterway. Bobbing yachts in the distance formed a perfect backdrop for a sunny walk with a dog, while I settled in to observe the whole scene with a fresh brew of coffee in hand. Those impressions gathered in the open air were then brought back to the studio and completed on a generous 16×24" board, where the full warmth and energy of that morning could breathe and expand.
